Lisa Albert

Author Lisa Albert

Lisa Albert’s love of reading and creating stories began when she was introduced to the magic of words as a very young child. Today, in addition to being an author, Lisa also works as a Library Aide in a Waukesha County school and finds great satisfaction assisting K-8 readers.

Lisa’s books include: Lois Lowry: The Giver of Stories (2007), Memories (2007), So You Want to be a Film or TV Actor? (2008), and Stephenie Meyer: Author of the Twilight Saga (Enslow 2009). Her thought-provoking young adult novel, Mercy Lily, debuts from Flux Books in October 2011.

Along with writing for teens, Lisa’s been a contributing writer for the Children’s Writer’s & Illustrator’s Market (Writer’s Digest Books), where her feature articles and interviews have appeared. She’s been a member of the SCBWI since 1996 and enjoys giving presentations on all aspects of writing to aspiring authors and students. She has presented at SCBWI events, the SE-WI Book Festival, and the American Library Association National Conference. She’s able to adapt programs to fit your needs and offers visits in person or via Skype.
