Kathryn "Gibbs" Davis is the award-winning author of 23 fiction and non-fiction titles. These include picture books, early chapter books, middle grade novels, YA and one film produced for children. She has also created two book series (mystery and sports).

Teachers appreciate Gibbs' fresh approach to history in 2 bestselling titles, Wackiest White House Pets (Parents' Choice Gold Award) and First Kids (2010 Oppenheim Gold Seal) which features Malia and Sasha Obama. In recent years, Gibbs has been invited back as guest author to several presidential libraries including the Bush, Carter, Truman, Kennedy and National First Ladies Libraries. In 2008 & 2009, Gibbs co-hosted a video-conferenced event with Barbara Bush that reached over 11,000 Texas school children.

Gibbs splits her time between Milwaukee and NYC. She enjoys visiting schools, libraries and conferences across the country.
