I am the author/illustrator of Earth Circles (NY: 1989, Walker) and other still-to-be-published picture books. A Missouri native, I’ve lived in Wisconsin for several years. I’m a member of the Bayfield Artists Guild, where I’m currently specializing in sgraffito tiles and black-and-white prints.
I have years of experience teaching art and creative writing in the St. Louis schools. I’ve developed and conducted numerous school programs (including those listed below). Ranging from one-time events to semester-long programs, these events leave students (and teachers) enthused and inspired.
I enjoy traveling across Wisconsin and visiting other states.

Designed for larger assemblies, this exhibit of illustrations from EARTH CIRCLES (and other works) demonstrates how art and writing come together seamlessly in the picture book making process.

This semester-long program helps students to discover the joy of writing and illustrating their own stories.
